Araruama
Wakeboarding with a truck
After the second day in Araruama without wind, it was time to try something new again. This time we tied the kite lines on the back of the truck and pulled ourselves over the water along the coast at aproxx. 30 kmh. The experience is similar to wakeboarding and that is why...its car wakeboarding.
The first one to try it out was Phillip. At first, the lines tore and then we needed to practice a couple of water starts, and after that was done the experience seamed to be a lot of fun. As Phillip came of the water however, we could not believe the smell. At first, we thought he had dived into a bowl of dead fish, but as we found out later, the smell was due to the extremely high salinity and the medicinal mud very famous in this region of the lagoon. Obviously, no one else wanted to try it out after that...the drive back home was terrible!!!
